ICRISAT:- INTERNATIONAL CROPS INSTITUTE FOR SEMI-ARID TOPICS
The International Crops Research Institute for the Semi-Arid Tropics (ICRISAT) is a global association which conducts agrarian research for provincial advancement, headquartered in Patancheru (Hyderabad, Telangana, India) with a few territorial focuses (Bamako (Mali), Nairobi (Kenya)) and research stations (Niamey (Niger), Kano (Nigeria), Lilongwe (Malawi), Addis Ababa (Ethiopia), Bulawayo (Zimbabwe)). It was established in 1972 by a consortium of associations gathered by the Ford and the Rockefeller establishments. Its sanction was marked by the FAO and the UNDP.
