NCDC:- National Cooperative Development Corporation

NCDC stands National Cooperative Development Corporation, is a statutory corporation set up under an act of parliament on 13th March 1963. It aims to plan and promote programs related to the production, marketing, warehousing, sales, import, export, and development of goods and services on cooperative principles. Its activities include providing financial help related to marketing and inputs, agricultural processing (like sugar, fruits and vegetables, and other small or medium-sized processing units), storage, cold storage, power loom, purchasing equipment, and computerization. It also aims to support weaker sections like tribal, dairy, poultry, handloom, and jute. NCDC’s head office is located in New Delhi with its regional offices located in various cities throughout the nation. The management is done by a board of directors consisting of 12 members and the General Council consisting of a total of 51 members. NCDC gives loans generally for a period of 8 years with a difference in period depending on the purpose the loan is being granted for. NCDC is a part of Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers welfare, Government of India.
