SEATO:- Southeast Asia Treaty Organization
The full form SEATO stands for Southeast Asia Treaty Organization. The SEATO was first formed in 8th September 1954. And later became extinct in 30th June 1977. The Southeast Asia Treaty Organization was originally headquartered in Bangkok, Thailand. The Southeast Asia Treaty Organization served the region of southeast Asia. The Southeast Asia Treaty Organization had the membership of 8 nations: Australia, New Zealand, Pakistan, Philippines, Thailand, France, United Kingdom, United States. South Vietnam and the Kingdom of Laos are the two states protected by the Southeast Asia Treaty Organization. The Southeast Asia Collective defense or the Manila Pact, which was signed in September 1954 in Manila, Philippines, created an international organization for collective defense in Southeast Asia.
